About Us
PMI Educational Foundation was founded in 1990 by the Project Management Institute
(PMI®). It is a non-profit, non-political, public charitable
organization. As a charitable organization, it is dependent on contributions
to provide the income necessary to undertake its purposes.
The PMI Educational Foundation has adopted the slogan "Empowering
the future of project management" to demonstrate its commitment to advancing
project management knowledge and the application of project management
concepts and theory by society.
Purpose
The purpose of the PMI Educational Foundation is to promote economic,
educational, cultural, and social advancement through the application,
development, and promotion of project management concepts, theories,
and life skills.
The PMI Educational Foundation has a goal: to enrich lives through
knowledge of and education in Project Management Life Skills.
Areas of Focus
PMI Educational Foundation will provide scholarships, confer honorary awards,
undertake research, prepare and disseminate project management related
educational information, and award financial grants to support project
management life skills-related projects.
PMIEF’s key area of interest is activities related to its
Project Management as a Life-Skills Initiative.
